Andrea has more than seven years of experience in municipal public affairs and environmental communications. She brings a comprehensive understanding of integrated communications and marketing, public participation, community-based social marketing, partnership development and political strategy. Her strength lies in analyzing complex issues and developing integrated creative approaches that meet the needs of clients and align with their business goals and objectives.
Andrea has provided strategic communications leadership, public engagement counsel, and creative development and implementation to The City of Calgary on a number of projects including: water management campaigns and community-based programming, multi-family outreach and engagement, ICI pilots and engagement, regional servicing, utility rate and bylaw engagement, low impact development, environmental public art and crisis communications.
Throughout her career, Andrea has worked in multiple sectors including corporate communications, non-profit, the development industry and media. She brings extensive experience in traditional and social media strategy, media planning, earned media, corporate branding, project management, writing and research to our team. Certified in Public Participation (International Association of Public Participation), she is skilled in planning and facilitating stakeholder engagement. She holds a Bachelor of Communications and has extensive training in marketing/communications including community-based social marketing (Doug McKenzie-Mohr).
